Export/Import Quiz Questions

How do I share my quiz questions? Can I use someone else quiz questions? How do I import another Teachers quiz questions into my course?

A.

 The question bank is where all of your individual question from all the quizzes in your course are stored. The question bank can be accessed from the Settings block in the left hand column. From here, you can choose to view all questions, view the categories of questions, and to import or export questions. The first time you use the question bank, there will be one category, the Default category. Continue reading to learn how to export and import quiz questions from the question bank.




1. Enter the course you want to export the questions from. Each course will only contain questions for that specific course and not your other courses.


2. Under the Settings block click Question bank. Then click Export.

3. Select Gift format. Click the drop down menu and select the category to be exported. Then click Export questions to file.

* Questions in the question bank are stored in categories created by the user. If no categories are created, all quiz questions will be automatically stored in the "Default" category with your course name. Categories are useful organization tools, as they can allow you to organize your questions by topic, chapter, quiz, etc.

4. Your export file will automatically download to your computer. When download has finished click Continue button to return to Question bank page.

5. Locate your export file from your downloads and share with our Tlearn users.


HOW TO IMPORT QUIZ QUESTIONS
1. Enter the course you want to import questions into. Each course will only contain questions for that specific course and not your other courses.

2.  Under the Settings block click Question bank. Then click Import.

3. Select the Gift format. Click Choose a file to locate your file or you can drag and drop the file into this box. Click Import.

4. You will see a preview of your Imported questions. Click Continue and you will be taken back to the question bank page. Your imported questions will create a new category for you in the question bank.
