Add a link to a website

How do I add a website link so my students can view it? Can I use this resource to add a YouTube video?

A.

You can send the student to any place they can reach on their web browser, for example Wikipedia. Read more to learn how to add a URL. 


  

1. Click Turn editing on in the top right.

2. Scroll to the section of the course where you want to add resource or add your website link.

3. Click on the Add an activity or resource link

4. Select URL and Add

5. Add a Name for the URL.


6. Type or paste the address of the site into the External URL field. You must include the http:// in the address. *If you click on Choose a link...you can search Wikimedia or YouTube videos to find a media link.

7. Click Appearance to open the display settings. Click the drop down arrow and select New window. This allows the link to open in a new window when clicked. All other options can be left with the default settings.

8. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save and Return to Course.
